please try to make videogames that look good

a videogame looks good if it defines the terms by which it should be visually judged and then meets or exceeds them. many videogames aspire to look as good as "reality". they do not ever, and can not ever, meet that bar. many videogames aspire to look as good as <other videogame>. almost all of the time, that original videogame is better at looking like itself.

a videogame looks as good as it's ugliest part. it's best if you define the style of your game so that every part can look good. 

it's easier with a small budget than a large budget. but if you have a large budget i'm not interested in making excuses for you.

there are so many ugly videogames. please try to make videogames that look good.
